New York’s Jones Beach State Park will now be home to Donald Trump’s newest real estate project called “Trump on the Ocean.” Trump on the Ocean will be taking the place of the park’s old Boardwalk Restaurant.

Before the deal was made, Trump came out on top during negotiations with the state over several key issues. The state’s concessions include “an unusual 40-year lease, lower lease payments, and borrowing power no other parks concessionaires are granted.”
This all translates into a bigger, better, and more expensive up scale beachfront restaurant that will be created by Trump and company. In the plans for the beach front restaurant are an informal restaurant outside and a formal indoor restaurant that will serve as a catering hall. Trump also plans to open up a night club.
To the dismay of preservationists, the new Trump building plans are four times as big as they were originally. This may lead to a guady, over the top restaurant some worry. Well, it is Donald Trump, what else is there to expect?
Whatever happens, it looks like Jones Beach State Park may be the next up and coming beach in New York State. It already has the nice views, atmosphere, and location. Why not go there when it gets an attractive upscale restaurant?
