Yahoo Travel has a new short poll and study out giving some of its statistics on where vacatuioners are going to be headed, and what their main concerns are. Any beach travel destinations included? You bet.
The Yahoo! Travel had a little survey of vacationers, and here are the vacation statistics that they gathered.
- 50% of summer vacationers say the biggest factor affecting their vacation is their budget. I would think that this number would be a bit higher, and that a greater percentage of vacationers are concerned about their budget (more like 70%)
- 78% of the adults surveyed in this travel study say they plan to take a summer vacation. The economy must be working.
- 87% of vacationers are looking to travel somewhere they have never been before. Hm.. this is what travel blogs are for! To give travelers new vacation ideas and tips.
- Most visitors to Yahoo! Travel are looking for kid oriente vacation ideas. - No surprise here, since Yahoo! is very family oriented and really isn’t an independent travel authority.
This travel survey also includes the most searched for destinations for summer vacations. Here they are:
- Orlando, Florida
- Anaheim, California
- Las Vegas, Nevada
- Miami, Florida
- Fort Lauderdale, Florida
- London, United Kingdom
- San Juan, Puerto Rico (don’t worry, No passport neeeded)
